what to expect at your first appointment
Please be prepared to undergo a complete examination including a
dilated fundus exam. You will receive dilating drops that will make
your near vision blurry for 2-3 hours and sensitive to bright
sunlight. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your
appointment in order to fill out the necessary paperwork. We anticipate your first visit to take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours

a note about glasses
If you need a prescription for eyeglasses, you will require a
procedure known as "refraction" as part of your exam. Some insurance
companies do not cover this cost, and you will be billed directly.
Please check with your insurance company directly.
a note about contact lenses
Please note that prescriptions for contact lenses are different
from glasses prescriptions and require trying on contact lenses, known
as contact lens fitting, in order to determine the correct
prescription and design. You will not be able to purchase contact
lenses with a glasses prescription only. Dr. Park does not prescribe
contact lenses and would be happy to refer you elsewhere for these
services.
