Dr. Park supervises one of the largest ophthalmology residency teaching programs in the United States. Her primary interest is surgical teaching and the role of virtual surgery simulation. In 2007 she was awarded the Abraham Schlossman Award for "Surgical Teacher of the Year."

Dr. Park is deeply committed to serving the needs of the uninsured in NYC. Under her leadership, the department has grown to 30,000 clinic visits per year in all eye subspecialties. For her efforts, she was named Bellevue's "Doctor of the Year" in 2008.
